California Rocks!
Hi Fans!
Last night, I was like, you know, hangin' with Jen's herd in Chico, where the big truck left me on Thursday, when I recognized familiar voices. Like, whoa, it was Mom and Mister Albino! I was like, hey, Dudes, they finally got here!

Mom was like, "Hey, Winnie, whatcha doin'?"

And Mister Albino was like, "Winnie, Winnie, it's Albino!"
They gave me smooches and hugs and STUD MUFFINS! I was like, Whoa! Stud Muffins! Mister Albino liked my anklets with the rhinestone detail. Mom admired my new sunglasses and tried them on.
Then today they came back with Mom's filly, JayaMae. She was, like, you know, driving a white trailer with shiny new tires. Mom led me out of Jen's paddock and told me I'd be going to my new home.

We drove up a butte and into the hills, and Mister Albino entertained me with stupid jokes. "How many Californians does it take to screw in a light bulb?"
I said, "Dude, that's too easy. Three. Like, you know, one to screw in the light bulb and two to share the experience."

When we got to the ranch Mom unloaded me and JayaMae introduced me to her horse, Asali. And I was like, "Whoa! Howdy!"
And Asali was, like, "Whoa! I've heard all about you!"

Then Mom turned me out to experience the California beach sand they've got in the round pen. I said, "Dooooooode, I think I like this place. Rock and roll!"

After my roll, one of JayaMae's colts brought me water and gave me a nice pat. I think I'm gonna love it here, you know? Like, you know, Dude, California ROCKS!

Thanks to all of you out there that wished us well and helped us on the road. We are going to give occasional updates (probably once a month), beginning in September.
Love, Ann and Winnie
Glad to hear that your journey was successful if a bit unpredictable! We will be thinking of you here at UConn! Enjoy the sunshine! Great that you didn't have to overwinter on the trip too!! It is nice to know that there are people willing to lend a hand to those who need it! I hope Winnie has a full recovery!
Sincerely, Dr. Jenifer Nadeau
Thank you for writing Dr. Nadeau! Yes, it is great to know there are a million and one kind souls out there willing to help. Winnie is happy, enjoying all the carrots and apples brought to her barn by my grand sons!

Hi, Winnie. Is it really sunny all the time in California? Have you met any of the Beach Boys? Have you learned how to surf? We are glad you arrived safely and are enjoying California. Maybe someday we'll be able to come out for a visit. Your friends, Missile Launch and Rein Dance.
It's great that you will continue your adventures in California! I heard you will continue updating the site with Winnie, Ann and Mr. albino updates as well. That's certainly good news. I love following you guys!
