Winnie's News from the Trailer

Hi, Fans!
While Mom and Mister Albino were raising Cain in Dodge City I was having an adventure of my own. As we were driving along and I was enjoying some hay, one of my traveling companions started to act like she was going to have a baby. I understand they call it "going into labor." I didn't know what to do. We had to detour to find a vet so she could get some help. My transporters found a vet and she's in good hands. They took all the horses off the trailer so we could stretch our legs. I'm resting tonight west of Kansas City in a big stall with a nice turnout area. We start heading west again tomorrow.
Mom and Mister Albino have left Dodge and are now ahead of me in La Junta, Colorado. I'm not worried. Since Mister Albino likes to look at everything interesting along the way, I'm sure I'll get to California before them. He wants Mom to detour tomorrow so he can see the world's largest ball of string. Today he stopped to look at a fiberglass dinosaur and then called me to tell me all about it. Here's the picture he took with his camera phone and emailed to me. Love, Winnie

Winnie, Ann & Mr Albino! I am so delighted to hear that your travels are going well inspite of the setbacks! This is Linda Sue and I am so looking forward to your arrival here in CA.
I was thrilled to get a card from Jay and then I heard from her they bought a house in Magalia. She has extended an invite to ride and campout at her new home. She sounds so happy especially now that her horse will be with her. God is good to provide you with wonderful friends and family to help along the way. I am still praying for your safe trip here. I will just keep checking in with your website to see where you are. Take care - God's traveling mercies on Winnie and the transporters, and you, Ann and Mr. Albino!
Love - Linda Sue!
Oops, Ann! I just read my post and I did type "Jaya" but my keyboard has been sticking! And by the way, Jaya was so kind in her note and e-mail. I am looking so forward to meeting all of you! - Susie
Hello again, Ann - Winnie & Mr Albino! I just finished reading your whole travel journal and have caught up on Winnie's diagnosis and everything that's going on. Just want you to know that I have two wonderful TWH geldings and thought when Winnie is resting and healing, if you would like to ride, I would gladly share my boys with you. They are wonderful kids and since Jaya invited me out for a ride/campout I would be happy to bring a buddy for you to ride too! Now knowing that it won't be very long before you arrive, I am really getting anxious to meet you all! Take care and let me know when you get here. We will do a special cookout and ride so you can share with our club members and friends! YeeHaw!!! Love you all - Susie
OMG!! My friend left south Fla in Feb of this year and is riding to Montana. She should be in the La Junta area right now!! She's riding one and leading a pack horse. I lost her outside of Lamar. I cannot believe you are all in the same vicinity. If you see Mouse & Tonto and Donna, say a big howdy. I hope your trip is comfortable Winnie. Please keep us updated. I love reading of your big adventure.
Hi Susie, looking forward to meeting up with you sometime after labor day--when I'm a bit more settled.
Jan--So sorry I missed meeting Mouse and Tonto and Donna when I was in Lamar; did not see them and didn't get your comment until too late!
